Wishlist
Track cards you want to acquire. Bookmark cards from the catalog and click straight through to eBay with a pre-built search query.
Overview
The Wishlist is a single list of cards from the RocketVault catalog you want to acquire — your personal "to buy" list. Every entry stays linked to the catalog so prices stay current, and every row has a one-click eBay search built from year + player + set + card number + parallel.
Find it in the sidebar under My Collection → Wishlist, or visit /wishlist directly.
What Wishlist is for
Wishlist is for "I want this specific card." For cards you already own, use the Dashboard and Cards page to track current value and surface listing-ready inventory.
Adding cards to your wishlist
Step 01
Open the Catalog
Go to Catalog in the sidebar. Either browse sets or use Search Cards to find a specific player or card number.
Step 02
Click the heart
On any catalog row — in the search results table, in a set's full checklist, or anywhere a card appears — click the heart icon to save it.
Step 03
See it in your wishlist
Open My Collection → Wishlist. The card appears with current pricing and an eBay link.
The heart icon fills in pink once a card is saved. You can also use the folder icon next to the heart to add a card from the catalog directly to a collection if you already own it.
What's on each wishlist row
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Card Number | Card number within the set |
| Player | Player name |
| Set | Year + brand/set name (sport prefix stripped for readability) |
| Parallel | Parallel name (or "Base") |
| Est. Price | Current raw market value from RocketVault Pricing |
| Buy Now | Opens an eBay search pre-filled with year + player + set + card number + parallel (affiliate-aware) |
| Remove | Trash icon — opens a confirmation dialog before removing |
Desktop has a table/grid toggle. Mobile is locked to grid view (the table is unreadable on small screens).
Finding deals on eBay
The Buy Now button on every row constructs an optimized search query and opens it in a new tab. The query is filtered to Buy It Now by default and scoped to the Sports Cards category, so the results are buyable inventory rather than auction listings.
The links pass through RocketVault's eBay affiliate program — purchases through these links help support the platform at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate Links
eBay search links from RocketVault include affiliate tracking. Purchases made through these links help support the platform at no extra cost to you.
Removing cards
Click the trash icon on any row (or the trash button on the grid card on hover/tap). A confirmation dialog asks you to verify before removing. Removing from your wishlist does not affect your inventory or any collections.
Pagination
The wishlist shows 50 cards per page. Use the Previous/Next buttons at the bottom to flip through. There's no hard cap on wishlist size on paid plans.
Common Questions
Where do wishlist prices come from? The same place every other price in RocketVault comes from — the RocketVault Pricing Database. Each wishlist entry stays linked to its catalog record, so prices update as the market moves.
Can I add a card to my wishlist without going through the catalog?
Not directly. The wishlist is built from catalog entries so we can keep pricing live — there's nothing to add until we know which exact card you mean. Use Catalog → Search Cards (/catalog/search) to find any card by player name, set, or card number, then hit the heart.
Why does the eBay search sometimes show too many or too few results? The search is built from the catalog metadata — year, player, set, card number, and parallel. If a seller titled their listing differently (typos, abbreviations, missing parallel name), our query may not catch it. Try clicking through and broadening the search on eBay itself.
Is there a limit on wishlist size? There's no specific limit on the number of wishlist entries on paid plans.
