Deleting Cards
Remove individual or multiple cards from your inventory safely, with preflight warnings for active listings, collections, and lots.
Overview
When you need to remove cards from your inventory — duplicates, misidentifications, or cards you no longer want to track — RocketVault provides individual and bulk delete options with a preflight check that tells you exactly what's at stake before you confirm.
Deleting a Single Card
Step 01
Find the Card
Go to Cards in the sidebar and locate the card on the AVAILABLE, DRAFTS, ACTIVE, or HISTORY tab. Use the search bar or filter chips to narrow down quickly.
Step 02
Open Card Detail
Click the card to open its detail page.
Step 03
Click Delete
Click the Delete button (trash icon) in the right-side action column. A confirmation dialog appears.
Step 04
Confirm
Click Confirm Delete. The card and its images are permanently removed from your inventory.
Deletions Are Permanent
Deleted cards cannot be recovered. If you're unsure, change the card's status (e.g., move it back to NEW) instead of deleting it. You can always re-upload the card images later.
Bulk Deleting Cards
To delete multiple cards at once:
Step 01
Select Cards
On the Cards page, use the checkboxes to select the cards you want to delete. Select All picks every card matching your current filters.
Step 02
Click Delete in the Bulk Toolbar
The bulk action toolbar pins to the top of the viewport while you scroll. Click Delete in the toolbar.
Step 03
Review the Preflight
RocketVault runs a preflight against the selection and shows you:
- Active eBay listings that will be unlinked (the listings stay live on eBay but RocketVault stops tracking them)
- Cards that are part of one or more collections (with the collection names listed)
- Cards that are part of one or more lots (with the lot names listed)
Step 04
Confirm
Review the count and warnings, then confirm. This action cannot be undone.
Active eBay Listings Are Unlinked, Not Ended
Deleting a card with an active eBay listing doesn't end the listing — it just removes RocketVault's tracking. The listing remains live on eBay until it sells, expires, or you end it manually from eBay's site. End the listing from RocketVault first if you want it pulled from eBay.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete a card:
- ✅ Card record and all metadata
- ✅ Uploaded front and back images
- ✅ Pricing data associated with the card
- ✅ Any draft listings for the card
- ✅ Lot and collection memberships are removed
- ❌ Active eBay listings remain live on eBay (they're just unlinked from RocketVault)
- ❌ Historical sales data is NOT removed from your profit/loss tracking
Tips
- Use chip filters before bulk delete — Filter to No Price or Missing Data to clean up cards that never made it through processing
- Export first — If you need records, export to CSV before deleting
- Watch out for lots — Cards in a lot will be auto-removed from the lot when deleted, which can leave the lot incomplete
