Creating Lots
Bundle multiple cards into lots for sale. Use the AI lot generator to create smart groupings automatically.
Overview
Lots let you bundle multiple cards together for sale as a single listing. This is great for moving lower-value cards in bulk, creating team lots, or putting together themed packages that attract buyers.
Plan Requirement
Lot management and AI lot suggestions require the Seller plan ($39/mo) or higher.
Creating a Lot Manually
Go to Lots
Click Lots in the sidebar navigation.
Click 'New Lot'
Click the New Lot button. Give your lot a name (e.g., "2024 Topps Chrome Yankees Lot") and optionally add a description.
Add Cards
Search for and add cards to the lot. You can:
- Browse your inventory and click Add to Lot
- Search by player, team, set, or year
- Select multiple cards at once from the Cards page
Set Lot Price
The lot automatically calculates a suggested price based on the individual card values. You can adjust the lot price manually.
Generate Listing
Click Generate Listing to create an eBay listing for the lot. RocketAI creates a title and description that highlights what's in the lot.
AI Lot Generator
RocketVault can automatically suggest lot groupings using AI:
Open AI Lot Generator
On the Lots page, click AI Lot Generator. This opens the smart grouping tool.
Choose Strategy
Select how you want cards grouped:
- By Team — One lot per team
- By Year/Set — Group cards from the same product
- By Value Tier — Group cards of similar value
- Custom — Describe what you want and let AI suggest
Review Suggestions
RocketAI analyzes your inventory and suggests lot groupings with estimated values. Review the suggestions and approve or modify them.
Lot Strategy
Team lots and set lots tend to sell well because collectors search for specific teams and sets. For base cards, creating larger lots (20–50 cards) at a discount often moves inventory faster than listing individually.
Managing Lots
From the Lots page, you can:
- Edit — Add or remove cards from a lot
- Duplicate — Create a copy of a lot structure
- Split — Break a lot into smaller lots
- Merge — Combine multiple lots
- Archive — Remove a lot without deleting the cards
- Publish — List the lot on eBay
Common Questions
Can one card be in multiple lots? No — once a card is added to a lot, it's reserved for that lot. Remove it from the current lot before adding it to a different one.
What happens to individual card listings when I add cards to a lot? If a card has an active individual listing on eBay, you'll be warned. End the individual listing before adding the card to a lot to avoid double-selling.
Can I bulk-publish multiple lots? Yes! Select multiple lots and use the Bulk Publish option to list them all at once.
