Market Intelligence
Use Heat Scores, Deal Finder, and Watchlist to make smarter buy and sell decisions with real-time AI-powered market analysis.
Overview
RocketVault's Market Intelligence page gives you three powerful tools for making data-driven buy and sell decisions: Heat Score, Deal Finder, and Watchlist. Access it from the Intelligence link in the left sidebar.
Unlike basic pricing tools that just show you a number, Market Intelligence tells you when to act, what to do, and why β powered by Gemini AI with real-time Google Search grounding.

Heat Score β When to Sell
The Heat Score tab analyzes your inventory cards against real-time market data and tells you the optimal time to sell.
How It Works
What You'll See
Each analyzed card receives:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Heat Score (0β100) | How "hot" the card is right now. Higher = more demand and better selling conditions. |
| Recommendation | π₯ Sell Now β market is favorable, list this card. β Hold β wait for a better window. π¦ Grade & Sell β grading would significantly increase value. |
| Score Breakdown | Six factors: price momentum, demand/liquidity, catalyst proximity, scarcity, market overpricing, and downside risk. |
| Price Targets | Quick sell, fair value, and stretch price points. |
| Rationale | AI-generated explanation of why the card received its rating. |
| Risk Triggers | Factors that could change the recommendation (e.g., upcoming season end, player trade rumors). |
Filters
Narrow your results using the filter bar:
- Sport β Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Soccer
- Recommendation β Sell Now, Hold, Grade & Sell
- Minimum Heat Score β Show only cards above a threshold
- Rookies Only β Focus on rookie cards
How Heat Scores Are Calculated
Heat scores are powered by Gemini AI with Google Search grounding. The AI analyzes recent sold comps, active listing supply, player news, upcoming events, and market trends in real time. Scores update each time you run the analysis.
Deal Finder β When to Buy
The Deal Finder tab uses AI to scan live market listings and find underpriced buying opportunities. It's like having a personal card scout watching the market for you.
How It Works

Each deal result includes:
- Deal Score (0β100) β How good the deal is. Higher = better value relative to market price.
- Player grouping β Results organized by player with average scores and best available prices.
- AI Analysis β Why this player is a good buy target, risk assessment, and historical context.
- Discount percentage β How far below verified market value the listing is priced.
- Direct buy links β Click through to purchase directly on eBay.

Tips for Best Results
Get the Most from Intelligence
- Run Heat Score analysis regularly β market conditions change daily based on player performance, news, and seasonal demand
- Use Deal Finder during buying windows β off-season and post-set-release periods often have the best deals
- Set realistic alert thresholds β too aggressive and you'll miss opportunities; too loose and you'll get noise
- Cross-reference with your own knowledge β AI is a powerful tool, but your hobby expertise adds valuable context
Common Questions
How often should I run Heat Score analysis? We recommend running it at least weekly, or more often during active selling periods. The AI uses real-time data, so results can change as market conditions shift.
Are Deal Finder results always good buys? Deal Finder shows cards priced below verified market value, but do your own due diligence. Check the listing photos, seller ratings, and shipping costs before purchasing.
Can I export Intelligence data? Heat Score results can be used to prioritize your listing workflow. Export your full card inventory (with pricing data) from the Cards page CSV export.
Why don't all my cards have Heat Scores? Heat Scores require sufficient market data (recent sales, active listings) to generate meaningful analysis. Cards with very limited market data may show lower confidence scores or be excluded.
Is the Deal Finder pulling from my inventory? No β Deal Finder searches the open market (eBay) for buying opportunities. It's separate from your inventory. It's designed to help you find cards to add to your collection or inventory at below-market prices.
