Importing from eBay

Pull your existing eBay listings into RocketVault to manage everything in one place.

Overview

If you already have active listings on eBay, you don't need to re-photograph and re-upload every card. eBay Import pulls your existing listings directly into RocketVault, creating inventory entries with all the listing data, images, and pricing already populated.

Pro Plan Required

eBay Import is available on the Pro plan ($99/mo). If you're on a lower tier, you'll see the import option but will be prompted to upgrade.

How Import Works

Import your existing eBay listings from the Listings page

When you import from eBay, RocketVault:

  1. Fetches your active eBay listings via the eBay API
  2. Downloads listing images and stores them in your RocketVault account
  3. Runs RocketAI identification on each card to extract structured metadata
  4. Creates inventory entries with the card linked to its existing eBay listing
  5. Syncs pricing and status so your RocketVault inventory matches eBay

The result is a fully managed inventory entry that's linked to the live eBay listing β€” any changes you make in RocketVault can be pushed back to eBay.

Importing All Listings

Connect eBay

Make sure your eBay account is connected in Settings β†’ Integrations. See the Listing Cards on eBay guide if you haven't set this up yet.

Go to Listings

Navigate to the Listings page from the sidebar.

Click Import from eBay

Click the Import from eBay button. You'll see two options:

  • Import All β€” Imports every active listing from your eBay store
  • Selective Import β€” Browse your eBay listings and choose which ones to import

Wait for Processing

Import runs as a streaming operation β€” you'll see real-time progress as each listing is fetched, images are downloaded, and AI identification runs. For large stores (500+ listings), this can take several minutes.

Review Imported Cards

Imported cards go through the same AI identification pipeline as uploaded cards. High-confidence identifications are marked Ready, while uncertain ones go to Needs Review.

Selective Import

If you only sell sports cards on one eBay account but also sell other items, use Selective Import to pull in just the card listings. This avoids importing non-card items.

Re-enrichment

After import, you can run Re-enrich on imported listings to enhance them with RocketVault's AI:

  • Improved titles β€” RocketAI generates SEO-optimized eBay titles
  • Better descriptions β€” Structured HTML descriptions with card attributes
  • Accurate categorization β€” Correct eBay category and item specifics
  • Market pricing β€” Updated pricing from the RocketVault Pricing Database

Re-enrichment doesn't automatically push changes to eBay β€” you review the AI suggestions first and decide what to publish.

Syncing After Import

Once listings are imported, RocketVault keeps them in sync:

  • Status sync β€” Detects when items sell, end, or get relisted on eBay
  • Price updates β€” Changes made in RocketVault can be pushed to eBay
  • New listings β€” Cards you list through RocketVault are automatically tracked

Use the Sync All button on the Listings page to pull the latest status from eBay at any time.

Common Questions

Will importing affect my live eBay listings? No. Import is read-only β€” it pulls data from eBay into RocketVault but doesn't modify your live listings in any way.

What if I've already uploaded some of these cards manually? You may end up with duplicates. After importing, run Duplicate Consolidation to merge any overlapping entries.

Can I import ended or sold listings? Currently, import only pulls active listings. Sold items are detected through the ongoing sync process after import.

How long does a full import take? It depends on your store size. Typical times: 50 listings in ~2 minutes, 500 listings in ~15 minutes, 1000+ listings in ~30 minutes. The streaming progress bar shows real-time status.
